Indo-African Scholarship Initiative

The Scheme:

The Indo-African 10,000+ Scholarships Drive is a joint Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by AASGON (Africa Asia Scholars Global Network), UK, and Business Press India, Delhi NCR, India. It aims to support the Global South, particularly African Union countries, by offering 100% tuition fee-free scholarships to over 10,000 young nationals.

This initiative specifically targets students from deprived, underprivileged, conflict-affected regions, wards of single parents, female candidates, tribal communities, and individuals from marginalised sections of society.

The TECD Foundation is responsible for managing and implementing the scheme in association with the GSE Foundation.

The Organisations

AASGON (Africa Asia Scholars Global Network)
Headquartered in Kent, UK, AASGON has members in over 120 countries. The network works closely on sustainable development, the eradication of inequality, and the advancement of higher education throughout the Global South.
AASGON’s extensive global presence allows for coordinated educational opportunities that bridge continents and cultures, creating meaningful pathways for academic excellence.

Business Press India
Business Press India Group is a prominent publishing house for academic research journals and books, with a direct presence in India, the UK, and the USA. Their network spans across the Global South, Europe, and North America.
Business Press India is committed to transforming the landscape of higher education across the Global South and shares the larger vision of eradicating inequality among youth.

This initiative realises the vision of Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and his message of “One Planet, One Future”, expressed at the G20 Summit held in New Delhi in 2024, where the African Union was officially welcomed as a permanent member of the G20 nations.

In line with the wisdom of ancient scriptures, reminding us that all of humanity is one family:

“सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः, सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः।”
(May all be happy, may all be free from illness.)
